Down to the last four teams through to the semi-final stage now. Crosby Comrades through beating Les Dodd “A” High score lines all over 70 from the Comrades who won all three frames.They look strong contenders for a final place but one never knows what can happen in handicap matches.Just one good frame can sometimes seal it.
Our Ladys “B” also through and did not even need the 42 handicap! Phil Kershaw and Dudley Lidiard doing the damage against Chris Reynolds and James Kilduff.Jason Francis and Colin Watterson the other winners for Our Ladys winning a low scoring affair against Phil Harbon and L Lock who only scored 11 points. Someone did a good job keeping Phil quiet! Trevor Kinley and C Hannon replied for Brook with a good win but alas in vain.
Our Ladys “A” playing away beat Ince. Jimmy Tristram and Mike McNamara pulled 28 of the 38 start back in a frame that lasted over one hour. Mark and Andy Pope won well for Ince defeating Peter Kershaw and Frank Houghton with ease. Andy had a 27 break en route.
Bill Clare and Gerry Murch won by 61 points against Phil Fellows and Jason Thackerey. Some good potting from Bill with a 24 break on his first visit. The match ended with only pink required to seal it.
