Les Dodd B Retain Title

Les Dodd B have retained the League title for a fourth successive season following victory in the play off against Ince Club. The match featured three players on either side who were previously unbeaten, and their performances ultimately decided the contest with the three Southport players winning whilst the three Ince players lost. Steve Lunt and Will Jerram shone for the victors whilst Wayne Barton's victory will provide little consolation for Ince who have fought hard all season with a much smaller squad than Les Dodds. The Harold Mills Trophy was won by Our Ladys B with a 4-2 defeat of Les Dodd A. Luke Marshall amd Alan Houghton won the deciding frames in a tightly contested match. The Mike Blundell veterans was won by Robbie Wilson in his first sttempt whilst Graham Clark beat Mark Evans in the George Gilroy Billiards competition.

Clare Cup Final and Presentation

The Clare Cup Final will take place at Our Ladys CMS Club on Wednesday 30th May, commencing at 7:30pm.This will be followed by the presentation of trophies. Teams should note Rule 28 "Teams collecting trophies for team events must be represented at the presentation by at least 3 registered players. If the team concerned does not provide 3 players the whole teams trophies shall be retained by the League for use in the future or returned if possible to the supplier for reimbursement."

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will be scheduled after the AGM's of other Leagues. If any clubs wish to join the League they should email the secretary or contact a League member as soon as possible.
