Ince Benefit from Champions Fine

Ince Club have narrowed the gap at the top of the table after Les Dodd B were fined a point for being a man short. Ince had a comfortable 5-1 win against Ince St. Mary's with Ian Gelhardt(47) and Chris Evans(29) amongst the breaks. Les Dodd B matched this result at Cons Club A where Andy Booth(46 & 41) and Jamie Graham(29 & 24) impressed in a powerful performance from the champions.

The battle for third spot is a three horse race between Crosby Comrades, Legion A and Cons Club B. Legion A had the best result this week defeating Legion B 5-1, Phil Jones(22) had an excellent victory over Carl Finlayson whilst Dave Rimmer was Legion B's sole winner in what is proving to be a poor season for his team. Robbie Wilson(38 & 32) and Andy Jones(38 & 25) helped Crosby to a 4-2 victory against Legion C. Mike Radcliffe and Terry Farrell were Legions winners in what proved to be their best result in a fixture that has been played for three successive weeks. Les Dodd A again failed to field a full team but still managed to pick up two points against Cons Club B. Andy Rae and Graham Marshall were their winners whilst Grahanm Clark maintained his challenge for the Daniel Taylor Shield with a twelfth successive victory, Chris Connelly and Andy Booth have also played and won every League match this season. Our Ladys B have improved over the past couple of seasons and they managed a 4-2 win in their derby match. Luke Marshall will be pleased with his defeat of John Mycek whilst Peter Kershaw(31) proved to be too good for Tony Riley.
